With the high temperatures and the blue/green algae problem, September was not a very good month for us on Lake Texoma. As we moved into October the fishing really picked up. We started the first Saturday in October with our yearly Great White Hunt Trip. We had 160 anglers,3 6 guides, a catering service for the fish fry and alot of great help. The changing of the seasons has brought many blessings our way, rain, beautiful weather, and some of the best striper fishing of the year here on Lake Texoma. With an end to the heat wave and the drought, the arrival of fall has brought a much needed rejuvenation and a blessing for all living things, including our Lake Texoma stripers. The water temperature is cooling down nicely, I?m marking 76 degree surface temperature, and the elevation has even risen a bit from all the rain which has pushed the fish into the shallow water and initiated the beginning of fall topwater season . . .
