Entries for the first annual Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge Photo Contest are being accepted through February 28, 2010. The contest is open to all photographers, and is being sponsored by the Friends of Hagerman NWR, in order to increase awareness and appreciation of the Refuge.
All submitted photographs must be taken within the boundaries of the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. There are no restrictions regarding when the picture was taken i.e. submitted image
may have been taken last week or five years ago.
Each entrant is limited to no more than 5 images. There will be a $100. First Place prize (US) given out for each of 6 categories. In addition, Best of Show, First, Second and Third place winners will receive ribbons. Winning photos will be displayed at the Refuge Visitor Center, and published on the Friends web site.
